 Sweden Township police report the arrest of David Allen Smyth, Jr., 25, of Coudersport. He was charged Monday afternoon with felony strangulation, felony aggravated assault for allegedly attempting to or actually causing serious bodily injury with extreme indifference and lesser counts of recklessly endangering another person and harassment with physical contact. Arraigned in District Court, he was remanded to Potter County Jail when he couldn't post $50,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 8th.
