INTERSTATE 390: Livingston County Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of three Allegany County residents after a traffic stop on Interstate 390 as part of Operation Safe Interstate. On August 17, 2017 Deputy Shawn Whitford was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office “Operation Safe Interstate” initiative and stopped a vehicle in the Town of Geneseo for a traffic violation, as well as seeing a wanted person in the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop the Deputy Sheriff discovered that the driver, 34-year-Keith M. Hennard of Fillmore, was allegedly in possession of cocaine. Hennard was placed under arrest for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly yielded the discovery of drug paraphernalia as well as a quantity of heroin. These findings led to the arrest of the passengers in the vehicle. The passengers, 34-year-old Hannah L. Jones from Belmont and 31-year-old Annetta N. Barrett from Friendship, were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. Barrett also received an additional charge of Criminal Impersonation because she allegedly initially lied about who she was. Barrett had outstanding warrants issued for her out of Allegany County. Hennard, Jones, and Barrett were turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention. The three were later arraigned in the Town of Geneseo Court before Justice Houston. The Judge remanded all three to the custody of the Sheriff with the following bail: Hennard and Jones on $500 cash or $1,000 bond and Barrett on $750 cash or $1,500 bond.
