The New York State Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that physician-assisted suicide is not a constitutional right. In a 5-0 decision, judges sided with the lower courts that previously blocked efforts to protect doctor assisted death as a state right. The court found the state law clearly prohibits anyone, including doctors, in assisting a patient’s death.
