Wellsville woman arrested for selling heroin

Wellsville Police Thursday arrested Diane R. Newsome, age 20 of Wellsville, charging her with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Class B Felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Class B Felony) and Conspiracy 4th (Class E Felony).  The charges stem from the sale of narcotic drugs (Heroin) in the Village of Wellsville in September of 2017.  Newsome was processed and arraigned before Associate Wellsville Village Justice Walsh.  Newsome was released and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on June 5th at 4:30 p.m. Wellsville Police were assisted by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (C-NET).
