Allegany County Sheriff Ricky L. Whitney reports that on October 11, 2018, following an investigation into an incident that occurred at the Allegany County Jail, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael McKenzie, age 29 of Rochester charging him with felony 2^nd degree assault and 2^nd degree harassment. McKenzie was processed and transported to the Town of Amity Court where he was arraigned and remanded back to the County Jail without bail. McKenzie is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Amity Court on October 24, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. for additional court action.

Allegany County Sheriff Ricky L. Whitney reports that on October 9, 2018, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office with the arrest of Aaron K. Bentley, age 31 of Hume, on an Arrest Warrant issued by the Town of Machias Court.  Bentley was located at his address, processed, and turned over to the custody of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
