No injuries when train strikes truck in Eldred

On Wednesday at approximately 6:55 p.m., Otto-Eldred Regional Police responded to a reported train vs. truck crash, across from the Frame Funeral Home in Eldred Borough. Firefighters determined the vehicle was unoccupied when it was struck by the train. Police determined the truck was parked too close to the railroad with its bumper overtop of the train tracks. The vehicle only suffered minor damage and was driven from the scene. The track inspector for Western New York/Pennsylvania Railroad arrived on scene to inspect the track and train and determined there was no damage done to the train or the train tracks. Police were assisted by Eldred Borough Volunteer Fire Department.
