Steuben County man charged with Vehicular Manslaughter in deadly crash

New criminal charges have been filed against a Campbell man following a deadly crash Sunday afternoon on State Route 415 in Campbell. State police report that 42-year-old Robert Neally was charged Wednesday afternoon with 2nd degree vehicular manslaughter, a class D felony. He was initially charged with driving while intoxicated. The charges stem from a vehicle crash in which Neally is accused of striking a motorcycle operated by 65-year-old Terry Hill, the Lindley-Presho volunteer fire chief. Hill died at the scene.
State police first charged Neally with the unclassified DWI count, but after consulting with the District Attorney's office, the new criminal count was added. Neally was arraigned after the crash and remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $75,000 bail.
