The Wellsville Village Board Monday night approved two special event permits, but tabled a third request until more information could be gathered.
The Board:

1. approved a request from Gildner and Associated Wealth Management to conduct a "shred it" event in the alley behind its office at 20 Madison Street. The event will be held July 31st from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. in a location off the municipal parking lot. The event is free and open to the public. If you have personal documents you want shredded, you can bring them to the event.
2. approved a permit from the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce to hold a Main Street Festival during the Balloon Rally on Saturday, July 20th from6 a.m. to 5 p.m. The location will be Main Street from East State Street to Pearl Street.
3. the Board table a decision on a permit from Denise Straub, Renee Giardini and Darren Fanton for a "Team for Kids" boot drive on August 9th from 7a.m. to 9:30a.m. The requested locations were N. Highland Avenue at Bolivar Road and North Main at E. State Street. The Board said it needed more information on the event and will address the issue at its next meeting.
