Tough morning in Allegany County

 There were multiple, serious incidents during the 1 a.m. hour in Allegany County. Just outside the village of Wellsville, a pedestrian was struck by a snowplow. It happened on state Route 19 near the former Dresser-Rand facility. The injuries appear significant. EMS requested a helicopter but Mercy Flight, Guthrie and LifeNet all declined due to weather. Wellsville EMS and Rescue, fire, village police and Troopers all responded to the scene. A portion of the highway was temporarily closed.

Meanwhile, near Canaseraga, there was a serious vehicle crash. It happened on Mill Street near County Road 13 B. Initial reports indicated there were two patients; one had been ejected and reportedly was not breathing. First responders from Canaseraga, Hornell and Livingston County were all called to the scene.
